Description

Big Float – A reliable floating excavator for safe and productive contracting Big Float is a unique crawler pontoon platform with which you turn your excavator into a floating excavator. With a pontoon-based excavator, you can work in the most challenging locations, such as shallow areas, but it is also easy to move on hard ground thanks to the undercarriage REMU manufactures a completely floating excavator pontoon platform that replaces the standard excavator undercarriage. The undercarriage can be installed on almost any standard excavator and there is no need to make any changes to the excavator's upper carriage. The installation can be carried out at the customer's place or at the Remu factory, and all the functions of the excavator and the 360-degree operating radius remain unchanged. Hardox is used to manufacture pontoons in order to achieve the best wear resistance. Each pontoon is divided into five separate watertight compartments to ensure safety and the compartments' service hatches are placed above each compartment. The carefully designed shape and dimensions guarantee stability in all environments. Additional pontoons are also available for Big Float to guarantee safety when working in open water. The stability calculations and tipping loads are designed to meet the highest criteria. The hydraulically functioning anchor legs prevent the machine from drifting when working without ground contact.
