RENA offers dedicated production machines for a wide range of surface treatments for optical substrates, e.g. ophthalmic optics, safety optics, precision optics. For optical substrates made from glass, polymer or monomer components the individually required surface technology will be provided. Based on RENA’s core competences wet chemical processes for the optical industry such as etching, extraction, coating, conditioning, passivation and cleaning are developed and tested in our R&D centre in Freiburg in cooperation with the customer. The equipment for the required surface treatments is developed and manufactured in fulfilment of all medical regulatory requirements and ATEX standards in case of solvent based media. The optical substrates are automatically transferred via customized developed trays or carriers from bath to bath during permanent control of process parameters.
