Description

Planetary gearboxes have been an important part of RENK’s product portfolio for many decades. RENK’s planetary gearboxes transmit outputs of more than 20 MW and torques of more than 4.5 million Nm. Due to their optimized designs combined with high manufacturing quality, they prove particularly effective during long-term operation and thereby ensure the availability of the system over extended periods of time. RENK very successfully employs three-dimensional, corrected straight/high toothing in the CPG. The sun pinions and planetary carriers are case-hardened and ground, the ring gear is highly tempered, optionally hardened, and precision ground. Both connection couplings of the CPG are also integrated into the system. The gearbox is flange-mounted directly onto the engine/generator. The uncomplicated construction of the CPG, its high manufacturing quality, and good efficiency ensure low life cycle costs.
