Description

Excelitas precision spherical lenses can be customized in lens size and radius curvature to serve your specific application best. Our infrared spherical lenses are specially designed to meet the needs of demanding military applications throughout the infrared. Using our advanced plasma source (APS) coating technology, these spherical lenses offer superior resistance to environmentally-induced damage degradation and enable precise control over part distortion on high aspect ratio parts. Our infrared spherical lenses include high-performance FLIR imagers that incorporate laser lines and other IR laser-based systems, such as those used in laser targeting and IR countermeasure applications. These spherical lenses are fabricated from a variety of substrate materials and provide operation over the 3 µm to 14 µm spectral range. Component diameters are available from 6 mm to 250 mm, and the typical surface flatness for these optics is λ/10 (at 633 nm). In addition, our infrared spherical lenses can be customized with various features to facilitate assembly and mounting, especially in space-constrained systems.
