All Dielectric Cube Beamsplitter, also known as an immersed beamsplitter, typically consists of two right angles prisms cemented together to form a cube, one of which is dielectric coated on the hypotenuse to provide the required ratio of T:R over a broad spectral range. Sensitivity to angle of incidence variation is less compared with plate beamsplitters, but is achieved at expense of increased polarization splitting. Cube beamsplitters are generally preferred in imaging optical systems due to lack of astigmatic aberrations characteristic of plate beamsplitters. All dielectric cube beamsplitters are supplied with an AR coating < .5% reflection.
All-Dielectric Cube Beamsplitters are similar to Diode Laser Non-Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters, except performs over a wider spectral range typically at specific wavelengths, and controls polarization splitting magnitude of constituent beams.
