The VZO4-8 is an oscillating piston flow meter. Its operation is based on a piston which moves back and forth inside a measuring chamber, with a frequency proportional to the flow of fluid passing through the chamber, determining the volume of liquid transported through the pipeline.
This meter is designed to optimize fuel consumption in systems that include oil burners such as, for example, boilers for heating, industrial furnaces and tar processing plants. It can also be used for monitoring fuel consumption of ships powered by fuels compliant with ISO 8217-2012 standards.
The meter has the characteristic of being able to be mounted in limited spaces as it does not require straight sections upstream or downstream of the instrument. It can be mounted, without particular attention, on the side of delivery or suction of a pump and is not influenced by the installation position, so it can be installed horizontally, vertically or inclined. The VZO4-8 also has the additional feature of not compromising measurement accuracy, which is ± 1.0% of the reading value even at high fluid temperatures.
Its simple operation has multiple benefits: reduction of malfunctions and related repair costs, quick identification of breakages or malfunctions, and the ability to perform quick and effective repairs on site.
The VZO4-8 is designed for flows up to 200 l/h at a maximum pressure of 25 bar and has a mechanical register and dial for recording the measured volume.
