The sensors of the PF3W7 series for flow counting exploit the physical principle of Kármán vortices which consists, by means of a pin placed centrally on the instrument duct, in the generation at regular intervals of perturbations in the flow which are counted and transformed by means of a special sensor. in a flow rate value.
The small size of the instrument allows for parallel mounting in order to further reduce the overall dimensions and allow for easy installation inside a switchboard.
The PNP output allows a direct connection with the PLC while the possibility of connection to an IO-link system of the PF3W7-Z products allows a quick connection to a PC.
The response time for flow rate measurements can be set up to 0,5 seconds while that for temperature detection is fixed at 7 seconds. Moreover, with filter upstream of the instrument, it allows to obtain a pressure drop at maximum flow of 0,6 bar.
