The sensors of the PF2MC7 series, to measure the flow rate, exploit the physical principle of thermal conductivity: the fluid in contact with a foil feeds conductive material, in this case gold, removes a small amount of heat. The electric current used to keep the temperature of the plate constant, within the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline. If properly measured and related to the type of fluid inside the pipeline, the current is able to return the flow rate value.
The compact dimensions of the instrument allow for quick and easy installation even alongside other instruments, so assembly inside switchboards is not complex.
The bypass structure allows to isolate the sensory part of the instrument more efficiently without compromising the quality of the detection, this allows to make the instrument more resistant to humidity and micro-impurities present in the measured gas flow.
The PNP type output allows a direct connection with the PLC while the 4...20 mA current analogue output allows a very accurate instantaneous flow rate value to be obtained.
The response time for flow measurements can be set from 60 seconds up to 0.01 seconds.
