The RIL700-1B High-Frequency Level Sensor is designed for industrial use to detect the limits of liquid and viscous or sticky materials. The high-frequency level sensor can directly replace a vibrating level sensor or a capacitive level sensor.
It can be installed in metal or plastic tanks, pipes, filling tanks, sumps, etc.
It is primarily designed to be mounted on the wall of a tank or pipe, where the actual level detection takes place. The sensor operates in the high-frequency range, allowing reliable detection of material levels and eliminating deposits or foam on the electrode.
The sensor suppresses the influence of deposits from viscous materials (ketchup, yogurt, pastes, syrups, jams, creams, soap) as well as conductive adhesive products (detergents, alkalis, chemicals).
Furthermore, it can be used to differentiate a specific material from others - the "Media Window" function.
For example, it can differentiate oil from water and air, detect only beer foam and ignore beer and air, etc.
The following performances are available:
N - For normal atmospheres
Xi - Explosion-proof - intrinsically safe for hazardous (explosive) areas.
XiM - Explosion-proof - intrinsically safe for use in mines with the presence of methane or flammable dust (see technical specifications).
