The picoELCOR-2 represents a comprehensive "all-in-one" solution for gas measurement, featuring advanced capabilities that make it ideal for use in hazardous Atex Zone 1 areas. This intelligent diaphragm gas meter integrates an electronic index, volume conversion, a datalogger, and a GPRS or LTE modem within the mechanical body of the diaphragm gas meter. Its robust mechanical design, proven technology, and the use of the latest low-power microprocessor with high processing power ensure smooth operation and allow for future software and hardware expansions. The volume measurement principle is based on measuring gas flow through mechanical units. Each unit has four measuring chambers, separated by synthetic diaphragms. Mechanical movement is transferred through gears to an elbow shaft that moves the valves. The rotating movement is monitored by an anti-tampering optical element. This optical element ensures maximum protection against external magnetic fields, helping to eliminate meter tampering. The base volume is calculated based on precise measurement of pressure and temperature, using a conversion formula. The pressure and temperature transducer is integrated into the gas meter body. The electronic index with LCD display, controlled by a two-button keyboard (accessible after opening the front cover), provides information on the measured volume and offers a user-friendly interface for data reading.
