High temperature centrifugal fans are used for the transportation of large volumes of air with low pressures and are suitable for suction of fumes, stale, dusty and humid air in foundries, cement plants, paper mills and joiner’s workshops. High temperature centrifugal are also widely used for ventilation of public places and paper drying in applications such as for radiators and cooling towers.
High temperature centrifugal fans are made with specific resistant materials or with cooling systems and therefore these fans guarantee operation in extreme environmental conditions.
Types
Rimor offers fans with direct coupling, without belts and adaptable to temperatures up to 1000°C.
Up to 500°C belts-less
Rimor has developed a specific heat sink capable of dissipating at temperatures up to 500°C if placed on the shaft. The heat sink is made of aluminum and allows to manufacture centrifugal fans for high operational temperatures.
Up to 1000°C
Rimor has the technical know-how about water shafts cooling and compressed air shafts cooling technology and therefore manufactures centrifugal fans suitable to work with process temperatures up to 1000°C with compressed air or water cooling.
Rimor Manufacturing
The available materials are AISI 309, AISI 310 S, with specific tempering processes. The range available is for fans with impeller dimensions up to 1000 mm H2O and installed capacities up to 75 kW.
For these fans, Rimor also proposes a multi-layered insulated solution that reduces the surface temperature of the fan something which is required in terms of workers’ safety.
