Test socket Floating

RTI's floating base test socket design includes a floating plate in the socket body. Ideal for BGA and other bumped package types, the floating plate allows for alignment of the solder balls or land grid array pads to each of the pogo pins using small drilled cavities. When compressed using a variety of test socket lids, the floating plate depresses and the spring pins make electrical contact to the DUT.
