More and more often, ROFA is using automated guided vehicle systems for the automatic floor transportation in the inner material flow and in the production connection.
Automated guided vehicle systems (AGV) from ROFA essentially have the properties of a driverless transport system, but the self-sufficient vehicles are powered by an inductive system rather than a battery. The vehicles can be adapted with a wide variety of add-on functions. Automatic guided vehicles work with mechanical and inductive steering systems and are powered by induction through a rail block installed in the floor. The rail block basically consists of a guide channel and a primary conductor loop for contactless power transmission.
The characteristics of these systems are the low purchase and operation costs while using state-of-the-art technology.
