The BT 500 Rectangular Toploader has a volume of 500 litres and is a kiln from the BT series suitable for temperatures to 1320°C. The BT series combines 5-side heating in a robust frontloader construction with all the advantages of a toploader. The high-quality insulation structure and the even temperature distribution make the rectangular toploader suitable for workshop applications where as many ceramic products as possible must be placed and processed in one firing process. During kiln charging, the rectangular toploader offers an excellent overview of the ware to obtain the best possible results. The kiln is designed for long-term and continuous use at temperatures up to 1240°C which makes it suitable for applications such as bisque, earthenware, onglaze and stoneware firings. These applications correspond to Seger Cone 6a or Orton Cone 6. The sturdy lid construction is supported by gas pressure springs that allow easy, effortless and safe opening of the lid. A door contact switch automatically isolates the heating elements from the power supply when the kiln opens. The integrated overtemperature protection prevents damage to electrical components. With the heating elements made from "Kanthal A1" we attach great importance to a low surface load and a careful production. The heating elements are reliable and durable thanks to a sufficient reserve capacity in the calculation.
