It can be used for single probe double sheet control extending up to 4 mm (0.16in) thickness of a single sheet. Sheets made of ferrous or non-ferrous materials, such as automotive aluminum alloy, may be used for this purpose. It incorporates electromagnetic principles as well eddy current effect related principles, all of which are integrated into a single sensor. Some of its features include the monitoring of over-gauge and under-gauge limits and monitoring of operational voltages and measurement times. It also features a digital display, with readings of sheet thickness and operations parameter and is also programmed for an astonishing number of 255 different sheet thicknesses. Aside from a PLC interface, optional fieldbus interfaces include Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Interbus, CANopen and Profinet. Selectable interfaces offer data communication and data backup via optional opto coupled, along with relay or opto coupled outputs for under-gauge, nominal-gauge and over-gauge. It also features font panel mounting or an optional wall mount enclosure (IP65). The device also offers variations for connection of sensors.
