The detailed information provided by the motor manufacturer for commissioning and maintenance, especially with regard to site provided motor protection devices, must be observed. Motor protection All motors have PTC thermistors inserted in the winding (motors with thermal contacts upon request), which automatically monitor the winding temperature of the motor. If wired correctly, they protect the motor from overload, failure of a mains phase, brake locking of the motor, and from air temperatures which are too high. The motor protection devices offered by us include the motor protection device in combination with PTC thermistors in the MSD1 K model. In general, the PTC thermistor can be connected directly to the frequency converter used.
