Pilot operated solenoid valve are as name suggest it uses pilot which is a smaller direct acting solenoid valve to operate a larger size valve. Here Pressure rating and orifice combination is no more limitation. There are two further categorization of pilot operated solenoid valve: internal pilot operated solenoid valve and external pilot operated solenoid valve.
