The MH18 is the first molded nylon hinge to feature Reell's 'One-way" torque technology. 'One-way' torque eliminates nearly all the torque required to move the hinge in one direction, without compromising the holding force in the other. This makes the MH18 ideal for heavy-duty vertical adjustment applications, where the hinge holds solidly against gravity in the downward direction, while remaining easy to adjust in the upward direction. The MH18 is available with torques from 4.0 to 8.0 N-m and has a fully qualified life of 20,000 cycles, and it's glass-filled nylon housing is strong and lightweight, with a textured black finish that makes it cosmetically clean for applications where it will be visible to the end user.
