From RS Pro, these temperature sensitive stick on labels are a quick and easy way to record the maximum temperature reached by a surface. As such, it is ideal for maintenance operations where a close eye needs to be kept on the surface temperature of machinery, or for testing applications in industries such as aeronautics.
Temperature labels are a versatile, easy-to-use and cost effective alternative to expensive temperature measurement equipment.
How Do They Work?
• The labels affix easily to surface with an acrylic adhesive coating under a peel-off backing.
• The labels contain non-toxic crystalline solids, which turn to liquid at predetermined temperatures, turning the surface from white to black. The label is an accurate, and permanent, indicator of what maximum temperature a surface might reach.
• The indicators have 8 levels ranging from 71 to 110 C°
• The temperature labels are non-reversible, which means that once the maximum temperature is reached, it will be a permanent indicator of that temperature.
Once the temperature sensitive label is peeled from its backing paper, affix it evenly to a surface, making sure that surface is as free of grease and dust as possible. Once affixed, the chemical reaction to temperature is automatic, and the indicators will change from white to black once the corresponding temperature has been reached.
