The precision snaps action for on/off applications is a synonym of Microswitch.
Today, we are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Miniature Micro Switch where current mechanical energy applied to an actuator provides a high-precision electrical output.
The actuator type comes as a basic switch with unfitted actuator kit and fining hardware, offering you an impressive temperature operating range allowing you full application flexibility.
Where the space is prime, our ultra SPDT Microswitch is here to eliminate the issue
As a standard, our contact material is silver-plated
High-precision, presence/absence detection terminal
Ultra Subminiature and lightweigh
Long operating life
High temperature designs for up to +400°F (204°C) for up to 100 hours
Microswitch fits perfectly with:
Appliances
Computer/business equipment
Communication equipment
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
Manually operated devices
Medical, Dental equipment
Office equipment
Test instruments and timing devices
Valves and vending machines
Door interlocks
Microwave ovens
Elevators
What are microswitches?
Microswitches are mechanically operated electrical switches designed with an actuator and terminals called common, normally open and normally closed. A microswitch is also known as a snap action switch; they operate by using a spring-loaded lever to open and close a set of internal contacts inside the unit.
How does a microswitch work?
Power is typically attached to the common terminal; this leads into the Switch and energises the spring and because the spring is touching the normally close pin it sends power out here, this is called a resting state.
