Description

From the trusted RS PRO brand, this set of high-quality hexagonal cap socket screws have a hexagonal drive and a stainless finish. Socket screws are tightened using an Allan or Hex key, ideal for applications where a lack of space leaves externally wrenched fasteners unpractical. Hex cap head screws have a hexagonal socket and a head height that is equal to the shank diameter. They are used instead of a standard hex bolt when there is less clearance available. In this kit, you will find a range of 545 socket screws with hexagonal socket caps for Allan or hex keys. The kit includes thread sizes of M3, M4, M5, and M6 with lengths ranging from 6mm to 25mm. Features and Benefits A2 stainless steel Hex socket cap socket screws Supplied in a polypropylene case with a hinged lid The impressive strength of A2 stainless steels, especially grade 304, makes it a versatile component material that can withstand wear and tear. Its resistance to heat treatment means it can be used in environments where heat may be applied during production processes, such as welding and machining. Its corrosion resistance additionally makes it an excellent material for applications in which contact with food, fresh water, or chemicals must be tolerated by preventing reactions between substances and the components as well as ensuring a long product performance life. Compared to ordinary fasteners, fewer socket screws of the same size can achieve an equal clamping force in a joint. As fewer screws are required for a given job, fewer holes are required to be drilled and tapped, as well as reducing the overall project weight as fewer, smaller screws are used.
