The compound is made up of metal oxide and silicone oil and is thermally conductive. Apply a thin layer of the grease onto the contact surface. Ensure that the entire interface is covered which will prevent hot-spots. Remove any excess paste squeezed out after mounting has taken place. Best results are achieved when a thin coat in applied between the mating surfaces.
