Our spring-balanced hose loaders are available in both short-range (SRH-32) and long-range (LRH-32) versions. The difference between the two has to do with the placement of the torsion spring: On short-range units, the spring mounts back at the rise, while on long-range ones, it’s positioned a short distance out on the loading arm. A slight upward or downward movement is all that is required for the coupler to be aligned with the tank truck adaptor.
The 4” version of this arm is used exactly the same way as the Counterweighted Hose Loader. In this case, the torsion spring serves as the counterbalance mechanism rather than the weights. These two loaders are also similar in that they are both stored horizontally.
The short-range loader with a 52″ reach conforms to the API envelope with three arms installed 24″ apart.
