Filtra-Pak RP.-I ATEX high efficiency rigid bag filters are an effective air filtration solution for environments with a high risk of fire or explosion. They have a water-repellent, fire-retardant micro-fibreglass filter medium (M1 fire reaction classification), that is heavily pleated and separated by continuous thermoplastic spacers. The filter bundles that this creates are arranged in a V between a fully sealed, galvanised steel supporting frame. These filters have high filtration efficiency, are much shallower in depth than soft bags, have large dust collection capacities and significant build strength. Pressure drops are minimal, thus reducing the amount of energy consumed by the fans. Remember, to reduce pressure drops and extend the filter’s service life, during the design phase we recommend insertion of a pre-filter and configuration at 75% of the nominal flowrate.
