Leopard™ DI550 diesel-powered, down-the-hole (DTH) drill has enhanced mobility, a smaller footprint and can serve multiple sites. Designed for DTH blasthole drilling in mining, quarry and construction industries, it comes with an operator’s cabin, fixed boom, dry dust collector and drill pipe changer.
Low fuel costs
A new Caterpillar C13B engine with lower emissions and compressor pressure control with load sensing feature ensures sustainable and cost-effective drilling.
Robust design and easy maintenance
A modular structure gives easy ground-level access to daily maintenance and service points. Robust design is built to last and adds safety to daily work.
Easy operation
An accurate control system with simple icon displays makes drilling easy. Clear gauges for drilling parameters, compressed air, feed and rotation pressure are some of the features that also guide the operator for more productive drilling.
Leopard DI550 diesel-powered, down-the-hole (DTH) drill has excellent mobility, a smaller footprint and the ability to serve multiple sites. It is a machine trusted by mining and construction companies, and contractors engaged in pre-split and regular production blasthole drilling.
With its 328 kW diesel engine and a 24.4 m³ compressor airflow at 24-bar pressure, it is a perfect match for the 5" DTH hammer. All power is fully utilized, translating into low energy consumption, low operating costs and top productivity. The rig performs efficiently and economically also with 4" and 6" hammers.
