Sandvik DD422iE is a battery-powered mining jumbo designed to remove emissions while tramming. It reduces noise, thermal load and requirements for ventilation capacity, making the underground working environment safer for the teams in operation.
LFP or SoNick chemistry
Both techologies are available.
A retrofit kit allows to upgrade current SoNick drill rigs to LFP technology for improved performance.
Intelligent power management system
Charging While Drilling technology enables battery charging to be carried out during normal drilling cycles to ensure maximum tramming energy is available. Additional electric power for drilling can be drawn from the onboard battery pack, increasing drilling productivity without compromising the maximum peak power load taken from mine electrics.
Zero emissions while tramming
DD422iE is equipped with an electric driveline system including a battery package and electric motor for zero emissions while tramming. It also helps reduce thermal load and ventilation requirements underground.
TFX telescopic feed
The versatile feed allows for multipurpose drilling, including face drilling, bolt hole drilling, bolt installation and cross cuttings in a limited space where both long and short rods are required.
Dual controls
The dual controls option allows true multipurpose usage of the drill, improving fleet optimization, versatility and performance. DD422iE can be used across multiple applications.
