Description

Magnetic track brake (MTB) monitoring device Magnetic track brakes consist of two electromagnets which are mounted between the two axles of a bogie. In case of an emergency brake application, the magnets are pneumatically lowered to the rails and supplied with energy from the vehicle battery. The MTB monitoring unit of Schaltbau is a device for activating and monitoring the magnetic rail brake installation of rail vehicles that accomplishes its purpose electronically, and not mechanically. Features - Electrical control and monitoring of electro-magnetic rail brakes - Voltage-independent function test using resistance measurement under load - Fault display selectable for each bogie - Available for current types of brake magnets and battery networks used in rail vehicles - Option: complete with junction boxes including connectors suitable for bogies - Touch detection of magnetic brake (ZL213 series)
