The D Pump is Schenck Process’s unique, self-adaptive Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying solution. It was developed to overcome the challenges when conveying problematical materials, that have an inconsistent material density, due to variations in the source of supply.
The D Pump works in conjunction with a unique Schenck Process pipeline system that is self-regulating and provides a closed feedback loop to the controller of the pump and valves. The Schenck Process ProDV Dome Valve, which forms an integral part of all Schenck Process pneumatic conveying and injection systems, partially closes when required – the control system constantly measures and controls the flow of material to generate a smooth conveying line pressure. This solution is adaptive to the material in the pipeline and enables the control system to cope with any changes in conveying pressure.
Systems can operate at temperatures up to 480ºC with throughput rates ranging from 200 t/hr and distances up to 1000 meters. The inherent simplicity of the ProDV Dome Valve (the only moving part) in the Schenck Process ProPhase D Pump system ensures the overall system reliability and low maintenance operation.
Standard Fabrication
The ProPhase Pump assemblies are supplied complete with ProDV Dome Valves on the inlet, outlet and vent positions, electro-pneumatic controls, air management module and instrumentation, pre-wired and pre-piped, ready for connection to electrical supplies and compressed air, nitrogen or CO2. Connection to a suitable vent pipeline is also required.
Vessels can be manufactured to most international pressure vessel codes and designed for a working pressure of 7 Barg standard.
