The SCHEUERLE InterCombi PB is equipped with shiftable drive axles and can be towed at 80 km/h or if required powered by a likewise shiftable PowerPackUnit (PPU). This development from SCHEUERLE provides additional traction (driving power) without the use of an additional push truck on transport routes with gradients. In addition, the InterCombi PB can be used both as a self propelled unit or coupled with other InterCombi platform trailers.
As push truck:
Before negotiating a critical gradient, the driver activates the powerful 150 kW PPU. As soon as a tractor has insufficient power to tackle the gradient, i.e. the speed drops below 14 km/h, the drive starts automatically and thus provides the required additional driving force. Once the incline has been successfully climbed, the auxiliary propulsion automatically switches off and the speed can then be increased according to the road conditions.
In normal traffic as a trailer combination:
Here, for in-plant transport movements, the drive unit with PPU - with or without the InterCombi platform trailer - can be uncoupled from the tractor and controlled as a self propelled transport combination by means of a mobile control unit with remote control. Through this, the hydrostatic drive, lifting and lowering functions, hydraulic steering, brake system as well as the electric power supply are controlled. Short, manoeuvrable and extremely flexible!
Side-by-Side:
Coupled mechanically "side-by-side": a further possibility for in-plant transport operations is mechanically coupled "side-by-side" combination. Through the wide support base, loads with a high center of gravity can be safely transported.
End-to-End:
