By means of a rotary field probe the rotary field´s direction of rotation of rotating machine´s windings is determined.
During measurements, three-phase current is connected to the winding while the rotary field probe measures the rotary field by means of electronic sensors. This offers a big benefit, as there is no need for rotating parts inside the rotary field probe.
