Description

Product Information Environmentally-friendly glass with high transmittance AF 32® eco is an alkali-free flat glass manufactured by SCHOTT using a special down-draw method that the company developed. This makes it possible to manufacture products between 0.03 mm and 1.1 mm in thickness. Its fire-polished surface results in a low roughness value. Furthermore, the coefficient of thermal expansion of AF 32® eco is the same as that of silicon. For this reason, it is perfectly suited for optical packaging material in the semiconductor industry. Due to its high transformation temperature, it can be used in high-temperature applications of up to approximately 600 °C.
