Product Information
There is a solution to every filter requirement
Optical interference filters use the interference effect to obtain spectral transmission are manufactured by depositing thin layers with different refractive indices onto a substrate.
SCHOTT offers standard and customized optical interference filters within the spectral range of 200 nm to 3,000 nm. These products are developed, designed and manufactured according to customer specifications. Interference filters offer excellent climatic resistance and extremely stable spectral characteristics with respect to temperature and humidity changes.
Our product range includes various types of optical interference filters:
Anti-Reflection coatings
Bandpass filters
UV-bandpass filters
Longpass and shortpass filters
NIR cut filters
Notch filters

Substrates
Almost all inorganic glasses and glass-ceramics are suitable substrate materials for optical filter coatings. The choice of the substrate will depend on the specific requirements of the end product. The following materials can be coated:
• Optical glass (e.g.SCHOTT N-BK-7®)
• Borosilicate glass (e.g. BOROFLOAT® 33)
• Optical filter glass
• Glass-ceramics (ZERODUR®)
• Technical glass
• Fused silica
