Description

The sliding gate control valve type 8021 with integrated positioner and IIoT-module is suitable for a wide range of process applications. Media such as steam, liquids, gases, etc. can perfectly be handled. With IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), modern control valves with positioners type 8049 can now provide extensive status data, which – in addition to enabling predictive maintenance – can also make error analysis and commissioning much easier, for example. Predictive Maintenance: Monitoring and evaluation of the globally available status data facilitate the predictive planning of maintenance measures. Fast, targeted troubleshooting: Physical access to the valve is not necessary to detect anomalies and deviations in the control behaviour. The IIoT platform can also be used to enable online access for service technicians to find a solution within a very short time and without an on-site visit. Global data availability with IIoT: Status data stored in the system operator‘s cloud is available worldwide for evaluation and analysis. Cybersecurity as a design principle: The IIoT module is controlled by the positioner and only sends data to the cloud that the positioner actively provides. The module is technically unable to request data itself, actively execute commands or make changes to the positioner.
