This is a heavy duty flatrack where the end walls fold flush with the floor. Four units fold into 8' 6". The 40ft Type (4) has a flat paneled end wall which folds directly on top of the base. When folded it can be used as a 40' platform flat. The base includes four full width cross floor lashing recesses which will support chocking blocks, lashing chains, straps etc. Recesses are open to the ground for self cleaning. The end wall can be removable for vehicle loading. The floor surface is virtually continuous through recess zones.
