Roughing boring head RB 610 series

Seco’s RB 610 rough boring heads are short, simple, robust boring heads for roughing operations. With a compact design and short body to maximize the rigidity of the boring assembly, they feature reduced weight for faster tool changing and spindle acceleration. High rigidity results from a perfect contact and uniform pressure between the insert holder and the head’s body​. Each insert holder has an intuitive push and pull setting mechanism for easy and fast setting of the diameter. Diameter scales roughly visualize insert holder positions. RB 610 rough boring heads are equipped with 90° insert holders for standard CC inserts and feature either Graflex® machine side connections for modular assemblies or a GL/BA machine side connections for Steadyline® vibration damping bars. Depth of cut of up to half insert width is possible, maximizing chip removal rate and allowing a total exploitation of the inserts.
