Test equipment "Monoxide" is to test filtering self-rescuers according to EN 403, EN 404.
Operation:
Test equipment measures the content of carbon monoxide (CO) that has passed through the filter of the self-rescuer in the required time. It consists of a test chamber and a breathing machine with a dummy head. A test atmosphere is created in the chamber with the necessary conditions: temperature, moisture content, and volume of carbon monoxide (CO).
The breathing machine creates a pulsating air flow with the necessary parameters of breathing frequency, breathing depth, temperature, and exhalation relative humidity. During the test, the RPE breakthrough time is determined, i.e. the time from the moment carbon monoxide enters the filter to the moment it appears behind the filter in a breakthrough concentration
