SED Type 485 pneumatically operated valve has a plastic piston actuator directly attached with its body. It is compact. The size of the actuator’s outside diameter is same as the bonnet flange. The actuator is highly resistant to heat transfer. The exterior design is smooth and suitable for wash downs. Control air connection is 90° to direction of flow. It has an encapsulated diaphragm. Based on the diaphragm material, the valve can handle all neutral/aggressive and gaseous/liquid media. Contaminated media has no effect on the valve. It has a hermetic sealing. The valve eliminates water hammer. It allows flow in both directions. The body is cavity free and corrosion resistant. Available optionally is a broad variety of control equipment and accessories, including for retrofitting.
