Powder coating is often considered a more acceptable alternative to liquid paint for application to metal parts and surfaces. Unlike wet paint, the coating is applied as a dry powder. A specially designed spray gun applies the powder by electrostatic spray deposition - the electrical charge causes the epoxy powder to adhere to the surface. The powder coated piece is then cured in an oven to strengthen the bond. Industrial powder coating is quick and relatively inexpensive, and it's also environmentally friendly.
