This triple functions sensor (acceleration, angular speed & attitude) is an IMU “Inertial Measurement Unit” and a bi-axial sensor, usable for accelerations, angular speeds and tilt measurements, in dynamic conditions, of roll (around its X axis) and pitch (around its Y axis), at a 30 Hz bandwidth.
The innovation of this sensor relies on its capacity to measure these inclinations under dynamic conditions (vibrations, constant accelerations…) keeping excellent accuracy.
This is made possible by using 3 MEMS gyrometers and 3 MEMS accelerometers and by a patented Kalman filter algorithm.
All inertial sensor information, roll & pitch angles, and the status (error or internal failure, overflow of inclination measurement limits) are provided on a CAN bus and a RS485 modbus RTU protocol.
Further to that, roll & pitch angles are also provided on analogue format (0-5VDC)
