Description

The SEMTECH® DS+ is a rugged, compact, gaseous analyzer which evolved from our SEMTECH® LDV. Optimized for flexibility, safety, ease-of-use, and low cost of ownership, DS+ provides highly accurate real-world emissions data. The DS+ base PEMS is comprised of gas analyzer system (or GAS), a sample control system (or SCS), and an exhaust flow meter (or EFM). The base SEMTECH® DS+ is comprised of three main modules, SEMTECH® GAS, SEMTECH® SCS, and an SEMTECH® EFM. SEMTECH® GAS houses the analytical devices for the gaseous measurements of CO, CO2, NO, and NO2. A Low CO option is also available. All electronics, including a web-based server, together with the sample handling elements and power distribution are accommodated in the SCS, which also serves as the platform for expanding the system to include other measurement capability, e.g. total hydrocarbon and methane measurements. The final piece to the system is the EFM (EFM4 / EFM5) which employs the traditional averaging pitot measurement technique used in previous generations of SEMTECH® flow measurement devices, the EFM-HS and HTF. All key functional subsystems may be fully integrated, eliminating the need for troublesome communication and power cable connections, heated and pneumatic lines. The scalable architecture accommodates additional analyzers, accessories, and upgrades in anticipation of changing needs. The SEMTECH® Continuous Particle Number (CPN / CPN 23|10) module continuously measures condensation particle number in real-time. The SEMTECH® Flame Ionization Detector (FID) measures total hydrocarbons (THC) using a vacuum flame ionization detection method.
