The SEMTECH® DS+ is a modular Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS) for Heavy-Duty In-Use Testing (HDIUT). The base system is comprised of a Sample Conditioning System (or SCS), a Gas Analyzer (or GAS), and an Exhaust Flow Meter (or EFM). The EFM accommodates the full range of easily interchangeable flow tube diameters, enabling use on a wide range of engine sizes with a single system. All modules of the system can be mounted onto the shock mount plate, and stacked and secured one on top of the other. The shock mount plate provides vibration isolation for off-road applications, ensuring accurate data in rugged environments. The SCS houses the electronics, web-based server, sample handling, and power distribution that accommodates all SEMTECH® modules. The GAS module houses the analytical devices for the measurement of CO, CO2, NO and NO2. A Low CO option is also available. The EFM (EFM4 / EFM5) provides highly accurate instantaneous flow measurements, a critical component to real-world emissions analysis. The EFM allows for interchangeable tube diameters with a single electronics module, to move easily from measuring one engine size to another, without the need for different electronics. Additional modules are available to measure hydrocarbons, particle number, and particulate mass. The modular design means you take only what you need, when you need it. The configuration shown here is comprised of the base system, FID, PM2, and the PM2 Pump module.
