The manual sluice gate with handwheel are used as cut-off elements for channels, level adjusters and for storage tank. They consist of an enbloc steel shield suitably stiffened, lateral seals in SBR elastomer hollow round bar, frames in standard steel sections, driving system with steel screw hinged to the gate and handwheel supported by thrust rolling element. They are generally used if the sluice gate dimensions are small and the hydrostatic thrust is so low as not to require a gearbox for the control operations. In fact the handwheel directly controls the driving screw. The sluice gates can be supplied with seals on three sides (PV3) or on four sides (PV4).
