The Model 3548COD is a high temperature oven COD sensor designed for use in split-type materials with test ovens. These COD sensors are mounted on a water-cooled bracket that mounts to the side cutout of the oven or with optional frame support brackets. The standard version (up to 1200 °C) is supplied with high purity alumina rods. The high temperature version is equipped with alpha grade silicon carbide rods. The rods are custom made to the length required for your oven. The contact edges on the test specimen should be somewhat rounded (not sharp knife edges) for best performance with this model. Model 3548COD extensometers are strain gauge devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gauge transducers.
