The 3542 extensometers are designed for axial tensile, compression and cyclic testing. Base length from 10 to 80 mm. Suitable for round specimens up to 25 mm in diameter and flat specimens up to 12 mm thick and 31 mm wide.
These extensometers are used to test a wide range of materials including metals, plastics, composites and ceramics. Due to the special double-curve design, these extensometers are very robust and vibration-resistant, allowing higher frequencies to be used.
The extensometers are supplied as standard with a quick mount that allows the extensometer to be easily attached to the specimen under test. This extensometer can also be mounted on the sample using springs or rubber bands.
Model 3542 extensometers are strain gauge devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gauge transducers.
