Description

600Volt. Copper Conductor XLPE InsulationMoisture /Heat /Low-Temp /Sunlight Resistant Flame Retardant Thermoset Insulated Wire and Cable APPLICATIONS XHHWbuilding wire is intended for general purpose applications utilized in conduit and tubing underground in conduit, or other recognized raceways for services, feeders, and branch-circuit wiring as specified in the USA National Electrical Code (NEC). XHHW CU is permitted for 600-volt applications and can be used in wetlocations at temperatures not to exceed 75˚C or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90˚C. It’s suitable for applications requiring low-leaking circuits and a dielectric constant of 3.5 or less. With the special insulation, the wire requires no lubrication for installation. STANDARDS Morn’s XHHWcomplies with the following: •ASTM B3, B8 •UL 44 •USA National Electrical Code, NFPA 70, 2014Edition CONSTRUCTION Conductor •Solid soft-annealed uncoated copper (14-8 AWG) • Stranded compressed/compacted soft-annealed uncoated copper (6 AWG-2000 kcmil) Insulation •Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, abrasion /moisture /heat /low-temp /sunlight resistant, flame retardant
