CopperConductor PVC Insulation Moisture /Heat /Low-Temp /Sunlight Resistant Flame Retardant Thermoplastic Insulated Wire and Cable APPLICATIONS THW-2 building wire is intended for general purpose applications as defined by the USA National Electrical Code (NEC). THW-2 is permitted used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial new construction or rewiring for 600 volt applications. For applications requiring THW-2, the wire is appropriate for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90˚C. STANDARDS Morn’s THW-2 complies with the following: •ASTMB3, B8 •UL83 CONSTRUCTION Conductor •Solid soft-annealed uncoated copper (14-8 AWG) • Compact/compressed Stranded uncoated copper (6-2000 AWG or kcmil) Insulation •Color-coded Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC),abrasion /moisture /heat /low-temp /sunlight resistant, flame retardant
