The R2R web vacuum metallizer typically consists of the following components: 1. Unwinder: The process begins with a roll of the substrate material, which is unwound and fed into the machine. Cleaning Section: The substrate passes through a cleaning section to remove any contaminants or particles that may affect the quality of the metallized coating. 2. Pre-Treatment : In this stage, the substrate may undergo pre-treatment processes such as corona treatment, flame treatment, or primer application. These treatments enhance the adhesion of the aluminum layer to the substrate. 3. Metallization Chamber: The heart of the R2R web aluminum vacuum metallizer is the metallization chamber. The chamber is typically a vacuum environment where the aluminum deposition takes place. The chamber contains a series of evaporation sources or cathodes, which heat the evaporation materials to theirs evaporation point.
