DCW's high quality PTFE Balls are well suited for industrial applications that require an inert, chemically resistant ball, with the purity, specific gravity and wide operating temperature range of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) that other plastic ball materials don't provide. Applications include PTFE balls used in chemical handling pumps, check valves, ball bearings for light loads, volume displacement balls for chemical baths and many other uses.
PTFE Ball Sizes:
DCW manufactures solid PTFE balls in sizes ranging from 1/8" to 8" diameter.
PTFE Balls can be made-to-order from the following virgin materials and PTFE compounds:
Virgin Grade PTFE
Modified PTFE
Stainless Steel filled-PTFE (50% 316 Stainless Steel 50% Virgin PTFE)
15% Glass filled-PTFE (15% Glass Fibers compounded with virgin PTFE)
25% Glass filled-PTFE
10% Glass 10% Carbon filled-PTFE (A blend of glass fibers & carbon with virgin PTFE)
Bronze filled-PTFE
Colors & pigments (solid and speckled appearance) are available. Virgin PTFE material is generally white (slightly off white), but color can be custom blended (prior to molding) to aid in part identication or for other ornamental purposes. Colored PTFE generally exhibits the color of the type of filler added. PTFE Compounds with color include white or red glass, molybdenum disulfide (grey), stainless steel (brown), carbon/graphite (black), bronze, etc.. Solid blue and blue speckled are also possible.
