The DIT-C Series Drop Weight Impact Tester (DWTT) is a type of machine that is specially-designed for drop-weight tear testing of ferric steels. It features SIMENS PLC controls and touch screen, an automatic specimen-feeding and automatic positing, a frame structure that is composed of a solid-steel plate, a striker that is made of a high strength steel plate, a self-lock design for striker clamping, and a fully-closed safety shield. It is also designed with tools for support change and it uses chain to lift striker with high precision. This machine is specifically constructed using a main frame, a striker lifting system, a striker release/clamp device, a specimen-feeding system, a damping device, a specimen-collecting device, and a guard screen.
