SICA has on offer a new high productivity automatic planetary saw used for cutting and chamfering short rigid PP pipes. The machine has two independent cutting units. The distance between the units is electronically controlled and modified allowing double cycles of simultaneous cutting. It can achieve elevated hourly production rates. Besides the automatic regulation of the carriage speed when extrusion speed changes, the logic control helps 'cutting on the fly' thus increasing the number of cuts to be performed with maximum sustainable velocity. Once the user defines the basic parameters, the production lots can be planned and automatically optimized by the system.
